The 35th Nautical Palio of the Assumption and the Saracen in Civitavecchia

The city is getting ready for the 35th Nautical Palio of the Assumption and the Saracen and the 8th Nautical Palio of the "Three Ports" that will take place next July, Saturday 30 and Sunday 31 at the waters in front of the Marina of Civitavecchia.

Both competitions, part of the celebration in honour to the Christmas of Civitavecchia, will count with the participation of the 8 Historical Neighborhoods of Civitavecchia together with the teams of the Ports of the Lazio, Campania and Tuscany litoral coast, which will compete in a speed rowing race with fixed seats, in teams of “four with”.

The event, organized by Cultural and Sport Association Mare Nostrum 2000 with the sponsorship of Ca.Ri.Civ., Diocese of Civitavecchia and Tarquinia, Town Hall of Civitavecchia, Metropolitan City of Rome, Lazio Region, Port Authorities - Coast Guard of Civitavecchia and the Ports of Rome and Lazio, will count with the participation of many entities of the area like the Local Tourist Office of Civitavecchia, Friends of the Darsena Romana, Nautical Circle of Civitavecchia, AVIS, Italian Red Cross, A.N.D.O.S. NGO and others.
