The Port of Civitavecchia in the trailer of Zoolander 2The official trailer of Zoolander 2 includes some amazing scenes filmed at Molo del Lazzaretto in the Port of Civitavecchia
Finally spread on Ben Stiller's facebook profile the all new official trailer of Zoolander 2... and guess the great news? Our Port of Civitavecchia makes a good impression in many scenes which are to say the least extraordinary!
In case you still don't know it, the suggestive fort St. Peter, also known as Molo del Lazzaretto, was chosen last summer as a location to film some of the most awaited sequel that will count as main characters with incorrigible Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson this time along with Penelope Cruz.
If you wish to learn more about the filming and you missed our interview to the location manager click on this article.
But no more chatting, let's go straight to the scenes on the new trailer!
In the first frame (minute 1:49 of the trailer) you can see how our heroes on board of a rubber boat get to a weird platform. It must be said that computer graphics have done their thing here, but in the lower right corner it can be unarguably recognised the shape of our beloved Fort Saint Peter. Wow (!)
In the following frame (minute 1:58 of the trailer) there's the bad guy, Mr. Mugatu, getting ready to go on board of a helicopter parked right in front of the dock.
An finally, it ends in style (minute 2:09) with the 3 main characters flauting an astounding Magnum (if you don't know what that is, rush to watch the first film!) while they leave behind one of the most suggestive and oldest monuments of the city.
Because it must be said, the Molo del Lazzaretto might be 2000 years old but it is "really, really, ridiculously good looking"!
And now, while we wait with expectation for its release on cinemas (expected on February 11, 2016) let's enjoy the full new trailer, officially published recently!
