Roma Termini Station is an excellent point of departure to visit Rome. There are direct connections between Civitavecchia Station and Roma Termini in less than 1 hour. There are two ways to get from the port to Roma Termini Station: by train and by car.

BY TRAIN

Travel time: from 45 minutes to 1 hour and 20 minutes
From the port, go to Civitavecchia Train Station. There are direct connections that in 45 minutes take you to Roma Termini for €15. There are also regional connections that take you to Roma Termini in 1 hour and 20 minutes for €5 (regional trains stop at all stations). Trains run every 20/30 minutes to Roma Termini.

BY CAR

Distance from the port: 83 km
Travel time: 1 hour and 10 minutes

From the port head for the highway (Civitavecchia Nord). Continue towards Viale delle Terme di Caracalla. Follow the directions  for Roma Termini.

Useful information

From Roma Termini Station it is possible to reach most of the interesting attractions in the capital. Rome's central station is actually where you will find the two metro lines (red A and blue B) that will allow you to move easily and quickly about Rome. In front of the station there is the bus end of the line.

PRICES

Once at Civitavecchia Station we advice to buy a BIRG ticket (5 zones), a daily ticket valid until midnight of the day it has been stamped and for an unlimited number of journeys using all public transports in Rome -bus, subway and tramway- for €12. The ticket includes the trip from Civitavecchia Station to Rome.
