The Small Tourist Port of Santa Marinella is placed in a suggestive setting with an ancient sense, the Castle Odescalchi standing out in the background.

The whole area enjoys a mild weather most of the year and the clear waters of the sea. In summer, from the Mounts of Tolfa a thermal current goes down, making the waters of Santa Marinella an ideal dock for sailors who want to enjoy a calm sea, sun and wind. The sea bed is rocky and teeming with fish and in the port many clubs for scuba divers can be found.

The port is placed in the heart of the old town of Santa Marinella, within walking distance from the city center, among shops of any kind especialised in artisan and typical food products, everything fitting into a very pleasant historical and architectonical context. According to tradition, around the year 1,000, Basilian Monksi started building the village and the church devoted to Saint Marina over the area of the ancient Punicum, around the inlet where todays stands the Marina of Santa Marinella.
