About 800 migrants were rescued today in Central Mediterranean Sea during 6 rescue operations coordinated by the Operative Center of the Coast Guard in Rome, of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transportation.

The migrants, who were on board 6 rubber boats, were rescued by the ship Diciotti owned by the Coast Guard and by two ships owned by NGOs "SOS Mediterranée" and “Proactiva Open Arms”.
