The Port of Civitavecchia awarded at Ljubljana by the European Union
President di Majo has officially received the Grant Agreement for the funding of BClink Project at the Slovenian city in the framework of the Ten-T Days and he has announced that the notice of invitation to tender for the construction of the new pier II of the port of Civitavecchia will be published next yearWe have received and published the press release of the Port System Authority of the Center-North Thyrrenian Sea:
Civitavecchia 26th April - 2018 edition of Ten-T Days, the annual event organised by the European Commission about transports, held in Ljubljana with the presence of European Commissioner for Transport Violeta Bulc, and the participation of the Port System Authority of the Center-North Thyrrenian Sea represented by President di Majo, invited as speaker at the Corridor Forum of the Highways of the Sea, together with Coordinator for the Corridor Brian Simspon and adviser Wojciech Sopinski.
The Forum at the Slovenian capital has been a chance for the European Commission to award officially President Francesco Maria di Majo with the Grant Agreement for the funding obtained recently thanks to the project "BClink: MoS for the future". This project will allow the port of Civitavecchia to build a second pier at the new ferry dock, with the aim to develop sea traffic with Spain.

I would like to announce that the notice of invitation to tender for the construction of the new pier II of the port of Civitavecchia will be published next year."

The President of the Port System Authority of the Center-North Thyrrenian Sea, in his speech about the Motorways of the Sea, has highlighted the synergies of ports with logistics chains and he has also confirmed that ports act also as a junction with the corridors of the core network and that the development of the Motorways of the Sea depends a lot on integration of logistics chains.
