Here are the 12 photos selected and other beautiful shots. Find out how to get the Calendar 2022!The 7th edition of Postcards from Civitavecchia has now ended and we are pleased to announce the 12 pictures selected for the Calendar 2022!
But first we want to thank ALL participants for having contributed to the promotion of the city and its many beauties, often hidden to our eyes. Once again, THANK YOU!
ART AND TRADITIONS IN CIVITAVECCHIA
In this edition we wanted to celebrate the art, the traditions and the cultural heritage of the city.
We had an exceptional partner in this beautiful adventure: the National Archaeological Museum of Civitavecchia. Once again, thank you.
The Museum will be the location for the prize-giving ceremony, which will be held on Wednesday 15th December at 5 pm. The event is open, in accordance with the provisions for the containment and prevention of Covid-19.
Choosing the 12 photographs was not easy! We received many beautiful photos but, as we always say, unfortunately there are only 12 months in the year :)
THE 12 PICTURES SELECTED FOR THE CALENDAR 2022
And finally the most awaited moment: the 12 photos selected for the Calendar 2022!
We selected the pictures that, with the same pho quality, were more in line with the proposed theme.
Congratulations to: Franco Di Claudio, Angelo Esposito, Mariapia Statile, Emiliano Veroni, Roberto Diottasi, Rolando Fracassa, Jessica Pinget, Fabrizio Rocchetti, Raffaele Ballirano, Silvia Marazzi, Dario Baghini e Massimo Galli.
Among the protagonists of this calendar are undoubtedly the town's traditions, such as the event of S. Fermina, the town's patron saint, and the much-loved Christmas biscuits (in dialect "le biscuttine").
There is also a tribute to two local people who died this year: Odoardo Toti (a great historian and icon of the town) and Tarcisio De Paolis (who lived in a house where were discovered important frescoes and always preserved them).
You can also see multiple Civitavecchia's artworks, such as the contemporary art installation in front of the Trajan Theatre; Vanvitelli's fountain and the new statue “Kissing in memory of a Port”; Bramante's small temple in the monumental cemetery; the statue of St Francis in front of the Church of the Holy Japanese Martyrs and the beautiful fresco in the Church of the Star.
Now you can admire the 12 shots in this beautiful gallery!
Of course, there are many other beautiful pictures that were not included in the calendar, but to which we dedicate a special gallery. We thank once again all participants!
