Navalia Meetings at the Historic Port of Civitavecchia
Dates, timetable and useful information about all scheduled meetingsToday December, 28 kicks off the initiative "Navalia Meetings", created and promoted by the Cultural Association "La Civetta di Civitavecchia" in collaboration with the Archeological Center for Naval Studies.
WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
It is a cycle of 6 Meetings during which many matters related to the culture and the origins of the area of Civitavecchia will be tackled.
WHERE DOES IT TAKE PLACE?
All meetings will be held in the spaces of the old Roman Markets at the Historic Port of Civitavecchia, which currently houses the traveling exhibition Navalia.

For now we can only tell you that it is a unique exhibition in the world thanks to which you will be able to discover all the power and technology of the ancient Roman fleet!
CALENDAR WITH ALL THE MEETINGS
Here are the dates of all the meetings, hours, subject of the day and speakers.
Monday December 28 2015 – at 17.30
"At the origins of time. On the track of the Bull". Speakers: Federico Cropani and Claudia Tisselli.
Venerdì January 8 2016 – at 17.30
"Looking for the lost water. Stories of water and ancient acqueducts". Speakers: Claudia Tisselli and Federico Cropani.
Thursday January 14 2016 – at 17.30
"Imperial Ships of Nemi and the Palombari of Civitavecchia". Speakers: Mario Palmieri, Sergio Anelli and Ombretta Del Monte.
Monday January 18 2016 – at 17.30
"Count Teofanio, man of Mercy". Speakers: Sara Fresi and Pietro Cozzolino.
Friday January 22 2016 – at 17:30
"Civitavecchia opens up to ideas". Discussion between speakers and attendees to promote the History and Monumental and Nature Heritage of Civitavecchia and its District.
Thursday January 28 2016 – at 17.30
"Imperial Ships of Nemi and the Palombari of Civitavecchia". Speakers: Sergio Anelli and Ombretta Del Monte.
During the Meetings is scheduled the attendance of representatives of the Association of Underwater Archeology and Speleology and Associatio La Bilancella.

- HOW TO GET THERE
Entering the Port of Civitavecchia from Varco Fortezza (Fort Michelangelo) go along the old city walls by Urban VIII next to the Calata della Rocca, and passing the Vanvitelli Fountain you'll find the entrance to the exhibition. Idf you are in the city you can access directly through the monumental passage of Porta Livorno and you'll find the entrance to the exhibition on your left.
