Everything happens in threes! The third edition of Postcards from Civitavecchia has finished with great success.

We have had fun, we have got excited, we have rediscovered forgotten places, we have shared views, perspectives, new points of view and visions and together we have admired this city with your pictures. Each of you, participating to this contest, has contributed to promote Civitavecchia and that's why we can only say thank you.

"Rosso Vanvitelliano". Splendid Fountain of Vanvitelli, in the historic port of Civitavecchia by Daniele Simeoni, one of the non-selected authors (unwillingly)

Postcards from Civitavecchia was born, precisely, with that aim: to show Civitavecchia through a different perspective, involving in first person citizens, tourists and workers who spend most of his time, of his lives, here.

This year's topic has been "The Colours of the Cityand therefore, that has been (as well as other technical requirements) the main criterion for selection for the 12 pictures that go with the Calendar 2018 throughout the year.

It goes without saying that picking the pictures for the Calendar has been really challenging, but at the end we made it and now we let you enjoy these 12 little masterpieces in the following gallery!

The 12 selected authors, whom we thank, are (in order of months) Marcello Tedeschi, Franco Di Claudio, Simone Bevilacqua, Raffaele Ballirano, Sabrina Delogu, Roberto Diottasi, Sofia Donati, Piero Palombi, Andrea Vianelli, Monica Volpi, Alessio Pucci and Fabrizio Rocchetti.

We must mention all the authors of the hundreds of pictures that have flooded our mailbox and social profiles with pictures that are really thrilling. In some cases, the pictures are true artworks. You don't believe it? Here's a gallery with the most beautiful pictures that, unwillingly, are not included in the calendar:

Also this edition has counted with the sponsorship of the City of Civitavecchia and Ports of Rome and Lazio, whom we thank publicly

The new Calendar 2018 will be distributed to the main institutional and political offces and it will obviously be given as a gift to all selected authors.

Here's a preview of the cover 2018 and the month of January:

A GROWING PROJECT

Getting to the third edition was not taken for granted at all when we started, and we can't even say that it has been easy, so we want to say thank you to everyone who has shared this path with us: from authors to sponsors, from NGOs to everybody who these days and, most importantly, the previous years, has encouraged us to improve this project and who has shown us their steem. Even the University of Paris gave international credit to Postcards, stdying it. Our aim was, and still is, to promote the beauties of Civitavecchia and their Port.
