The Training Ship Brasil returns to Civitavecchia.

From September 8, 2026, the Brazilian Navy Training Ship "Brasil" (U27) will dock at the Port of Civitavecchia, where it will remain until September 13. During its stay in Italy, the vessel will be open to the public on September 12, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

Admission is free, with access provided through the Port of Civitavecchia.

This presents an excellent opportunity for residents of Civitavecchia and neighboring municipalities to learn about the ship's operational capabilities, as well as the Brazilian Navy's efforts in training personnel and promoting maritime awareness.

Italy is the fifth foreign port of call visited during the mission. The ship carries 140 Midshipmen from the Brazilian Navy alongside 18 international officer cadets representing 18 nations: Argentina, Bolivia, Canada, Chile, China, Ecuador, France, India, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Nigeria, Paraguay, Peru, Portugal, the United Kingdom, Turkey, and Uruguay.

Throughout the voyage, the Training Ship "Brasil" (U27) will visit 17 ports across 14 countries, in addition to Brazilian ports. The official itinerary includes Cape Verde, Spain, Greece, Turkey, Italy, France, Germany, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, Portugal, the United States, Mexico, and Colombia. At every port of call, the vessel represents Brazil and the Brazilian Navy, strengthening international friendship and naval cooperation.

The Training Ship "Brasil" (U27) is deployed during the final stage of training and instruction for future naval officers. It provides the essential practical training environment to consolidate the knowledge acquired during their studies at the Brazilian Naval Academy.

This mission aims to integrate academic education with hands-on experience, foster the professional and cultural development of future officers, and represent Brazil and the Brazilian Navy in all visited ports, promoting international friendship and goodwill with partner nations.
