Postcards from Civitavecchia 2024: ninth edition

Postcards from Civitavecchia is now at its 9° edition! An important event that we are happy to share with all of you.

In the last edition we asked you to play the tourist for a day and show us your city view. It was a special edition, with a not-so-simple theme that was very well interpreted through a series of beautiful pictures (click here to see the most beautiful photos).

The theme of this year:

The theme of 9^ edition of Postcards from Civitavecchia is: “A matter of perspective”.

The perspective from which we observe the world around us has an influence on our thoughts, our decisions and, in general, on our lives. Sometimes, we only need to change our point of view a little to notice something we had not noticed before. A detail that we had overlooked or, on the other hand, a global "vision" that we had not yet grasped.

There’s beauty that often goes unnoticed. Our eyes always look from the same angles.

In photography, perspective refers to the spatial relationship between the subjects in the frame. The way an image is composed helps to see something new.

It's quite common that the view of something from a different point of view leads to opposite interpretations and different meaning. It is really the case to say that it's all a matter of perspective.

How to participate?

The contest will start on 14 October 2023 and will finish on 20th November 2023. To participate you have to send us one or more photo via email to the redazioneweb@portmobility.it or through Facebook or Instagram using the hashtag #cartolinedacivitavecchia.

Only 12 pictures will be selected for the new calendar 2024, but all of them will be published on this webpage and on our social networks.

Prizes

As in the previous edition, each of the 12 photographers selected will also receive 3 free copies of the calendar (both in its wall version and table version).

In addition, the 12 selected winners will receive a little surprise: a €40 Cheerz gift card that they can use to print photos, create a photo book or for many other great gadgets related to the photography!
